Highlights of 2016

Real quick:

  • An independently published book that I had the pleasure of editing, Book Design Made Simple, won several awards this year. It took home a gold in the IPPY Awards, a gold in the Next Generation Indie Book Awards, and a silver in Foreword Review’s INDIEFAB Book of the Year Awards, and won Book of the Year in the Independent Publishers of New England Book Awards.
  • I had a lot of fun researching and writing a series of articles on music apps (more to come!) and interviewing pianist Ricker Choi for Grand Piano Passion.
  • Toward the end of the year, I started working with DailyChatter, and as a result have become much more informed on international news and politics.
  • I’ve been getting serious about my fiction writing. I can’t stop thinking about my characters—it is wonderful. To help spur me on, I took a writing class on YA fiction at The Writing Institute at Sarah Lawrence College.
